So many people living on this earth
everyone needing some water and dirt
How did we get here, what should we do
six point eight billion, plus me and you

I love my country, a place to be free
I have been blessed here, with food and family
But how can abundance turn to thoughtless waste
while so many struggle for just a taste

I love the soldiers and their sacrifice
but the death and destruction just never seems right
